DIY: Make your own Ice Cream Balloon Decorations

DIY ice cream cone balloons

Ice-Cream Balloon decoration may sound a bit random but they are amazing for decorating at parties during the summer such as as BBQ’s and children’s parties in your home. You could put them as decorations in the area where you are serving food and refreshments at your party. Another cool idea is that they could be used in cafe’s, restaurants and small local shops during the summer to let your customers know you are serving ice-cream at a particular time of the year. You could even go all out and have an ice-cream themed party which is something that children would love during the warm weather in the summer.

What You Need:

  • Brown Kraft Paper (Light text paper would also do the job).
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • String
  • Helium Filled Balloons

Instructions:

  • Make up a sheet of paper that would look similar to the image below. Or take the images below and make it bigger or to whatever size you think you will need. 8.5 x 11 is a rough idea of the size you may need.

  • Curve the paper like a cone.

  • Staple the overlap in two places, leaving a small space at the cone point, enough for the balloon string to travel through.

  • Blow up all of your balloons with helium and tie a string of ribbon.
  • Run the other end of the ribbon through the cone and out of the point.
  • Pull ribbon until balloon sits inside cone.
